Learn HR currently offers two practical e-learning HR courses that lead to nationally recognised HR qualifications at levels 2 and 3, accredited by Edexcel/BTEC.

Online HR courses enable students to work at their own pace either at their workplace or at home but, unlike most online packages, we create virtual classrooms with students who all start a certain course on the same day. Delegates meet and exchange views and experiences at their own course's online forum and tutors are available to answer queries via email. Assignments are due in on set days and marked by tutors within given timeframes.

Our online HR courses are designed to be undertaken either in the workplace or in non-work time, taking approximately five to seven hours per week and involving no classroom work whatsoever.

Programme Design

The courses are taken online by means of easy to use software and is available around the clock. Full written backup material is provided. The qualification has been written for HR and Payroll professionals and line managers. Candidates are provided with an in depth knowledge and practical understanding of employment law issues to enable organisations to meet the minimum legal requirements in the workplace. Working relationships between payroll and HR departments will also be enhanced.

Professional HR Qualifications

Successful completion of Weeks 1-14 of this course leads to an Edexcel/BTEC qualification 'Intermediate Award in HR Administration', equivalent to GCSE. Weeks 15-26 lead to an Edexcel/BTEC qualification 'Advanced Certificate in HR Supervisory Management', equivalent to 'A' level. The syllabus covers the major aspects of HR including employment law, recruitment, handling employee issues such as grievances and disciplinary matters, learning and development and management skills.

Essential Courses for HR and Line Managers

These two online courses have been designed to give HR and Line Managers an essential overview of corporate legal requirements in a format that they can work through at their own pace. 

Although there is no formal qualification attached to them, the courses deal with topical issues that are practical and relevant, using video to highlight key elements in a memorable way.

These courses give you the knowledge to help minimise the risk of legal action arising out of employment issues such as discrimination or wrongful dismissal and health & safety violations which could lead to a charge of corporate manslaughter or homicide.
